Our
Logo
The
Suicycle logo consists of three elements:
the name, the helmet,
and the fire.
The
Name
The
Suicycle
name is presented in a specially designed font with forward-leaning
letters. This font,
and the positioning
of the letters, conveys the momentum that our brand encourages in all
aspects
of one’s life. In
each of our lives, we
go through many different cycles.
We
work. Suicycle
says, “Work hard.” We
play. Suicycle
says,
“Play hard.” We
do
those same things over and over again.
Suicycle says,
“This time do it better than last time.”
The essence of Suicycle is
to live the cycles of our own lives, striving for and
maintaining the highest level of standards and performance in
everything we do.
The
name itself has a phonetic
similarity to the word suicidal [from the Latin "sui" (one’s
own) and "cide" (taking
of life)]. In the
name, the prefix,
“sui“, is combined with “cycle”. Suicycle
is about each
person living their own cycle – the cycle of one's own life. It is about having
dominion and power over one’s responses to the activities and
events that
affect them. It is
not about ending
one’s life, but about living one’s life until the
end.
The
Helmet
The
helmet that “dots” the “i” in
Suicycle is a very important element of the logo.
It reminds everyone to
be safe and to use
their heads. Those
who live the Suicycle
lifestyle like to engage in activities – work or play
– that provide excitement
and get the adrenaline pumping. To
be
most effective, they have to be smart about everything they do
– recognizing
that they are required to take risks in order to achieve greatness,
educating
themselves to mitigate risk, and exercising the appropriate level of
care to
protect from unwanted results.
The
Fire
This
element
of the logo represents passion. When
a
Suicyclist is focused, they can feel the heat inside them, driving them
to new
levels of performance. We
have all felt
it; when we are working at or playing something that connects with the
very
core of our being, something that we do best, something that we are
meant to do. When
our hearts and souls are poured out, we
drive ourselves to achieve. When
we
employ the full complement of our talents and abilities to succeed in
our
chosen fields of endeavor, we fuel that burning desire for excellence. We live our lives
deliberately – with purpose. We
commit ourselves to
being the best and
take purposeful action to that end.
In
other words… we Suicycle.
